Well I said from the beginning that this blog was going to be a slow-moving website satellite rather than a fast-moving affair. But I was suprised that I haven’t put anything up for six weeks or so, I think it’s because there has been a lot going on and all rather varied (but connected). Time seems to be speeding by so here is a little of what has been going on.

A recent commission for the Ruberg Jewellery Butik has just been finished and delivered, it sits very well in the calmness of this Islington jewellery gallery. Essentially a point of sales counter but with a case of glass-topped storage/display drawers for part of the collection to one side. Made in oak, brown oak & black steel with maple drawers lined in felt.

Here are a couple of images from the customer side of the piece.

I couldn’t resist this, on a visit to Collect, the Crafts Council’s selling show for contemporary objects (whatever they are, discuss). Is dumping cases of visitor guides on the Kings Road and scrawling a plaintive please take one on the side really a good idea? Tons of paper, public funding ending up in litter bins, non-joined up promotion of a show in a very expensive venue.
