Littoral Chances is a series of collecting cabinets designed and made with Helen Carnac. The most recent piece in this series will be shown for the first time at PAD London over this week with Sarah Myerscough Gallery, booth A6.
The work continues our interest in synthesising our materials and processes (wood, cabinet-making & vitreous enamelled steel). The new pieces are more overtly functional and continue the use of multiple openings around various elevations of the piece as in earlier collecting cabinets.
Littoral Chances II. 2017. Ripple sycamore, oak, bog oak, steel, vitreous enamel on steel, bird’s eye maple, cedar. 110cm high.
